CELEBRATING 11 YEARS ON BRIGGS STREET IN ERIE!

NOW IN SUITE D!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Erie, Colorado.  I earned my bachelors degree in psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I did my graduate work – earning both my masters and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology – at the University of Denver.  I have experience working in hospital, community mental health, long term care, school, and private practice settings.

I have been a psychologist for 14 years, and have been in Erie since 2006.  In my practice I work with teens, adults and couples.  Some of the most common situations with which I help folks include:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • anger management
  • relationship struggles
  • job stress (including the stressors of parenthood)
  • pain/physical illness management
  • I also work with those struggling with alcohol and other addictions

I also perform psychological evaluations and assessments.  These include evaluations for:

  • Adoption
  • Bariatric surgery
  • Human Resources/Personnel matters

In addition to my clinical work, I am also the Public Education Coordinator in Colorado for the American Psychological Association.  In this position, I work to spread the word about the importance of psychology and good mental health in Colorado and throughout the country.  This takes place through interviews with the media, writing articles on APA’s blog, Your Mind. Your Body., and organizing community education events throughout the year.  I also serve on the Advisory Board for Produce for Kids, a non-profit organization aimed at helping kids and families improve their health through good nutrition.

I love being a psychologist, and believe in the power of good mental health.  In my practice, I aim to use humor, compassion, and common sense – together with evidence-based treatment strategies – to help my clients strengthen their families, improve their overall health, and achieve their treatment goals.
